George Meets the Family

We love having so much of our family so close by where we live.  George got to meet his great grandparents this past weekend, and we loved having everyone over.

After everyone left we had a little time to enjoy the fall weather on the porch.  George loves being outside!

Bath Time

George's personality is coming out more and more everyday!  After a full week at home, one of our favorite times of the day is George's bath time.  He seems to love it too- he has the most relaxed look on his face during the whole bath.  The only time he gets upset is when bath time is over!

This is our favorite part of bath time- brushing his hair!  George was blessed with a head full of dark hair and after it gets washed it sticks straight up!

Home Sweet Home

While we loved our stay at the hospital (really...St. Vincent's was the best hospital experience!), there is just nothing like being home, and feeling like a family.  We got to come home Wednesday afternoon, September 21.  George wore a daygown that I smocked for him, and Harper was here to welcome him home!  We have loved being home together, and it has made it much easier for George to get on some sort of schedule.  Here are a few pictures of George's homecoming:

He's Here!

We have been anxiously awaiting George's arrival, and at our last doctor's appointment, we were told that he was probably not coming early.  We were so surprised when my water broke at 1:30am on Monday morning.  We were so blessed by our doctor, and the incredible staff at St. Vincent's who helped make sure that George got here safely, and as quickly as possible.  George was born at 1:55pm on Monday, September 19, weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 20.5 inches long.

 George is here!

Clay and I could not be more thankful for how the Lord has already used George to bless our marriage, and we have been overwhelmed by the love, support, and encouragement from our friends and family.
